Peep Basket Door Hanger

Easter is right around the corner and as sad as I was to take down my
gorgeous shamrock wreath. I created another colorful one to take it's place.
What Easter is complete without peeps. I personally love the bunnies
better then the ducks. They are just too cute for words.

To make this peep basket you will need: a couple colors of bunny peeps,
1 rectangle of green floral styrofoam, colored easter grass, plastic eggs,
skewers (bamboo sticks), basket and variety of colorful ribbon.

Cut your floral styrofoam in half and place into basket.

Stuff your grass into the basket next. You will notice my grass isn't shiny,
I have the crinkled paper kind.

Take you peep and poke a skewer into the bottom of it.

Now poke through grass into foam and arrange like you would flowers.
Make sure you put them in different angles and heights.
Once you are happy with your arrangement, place (or glue) a couple
plastic easter eggs around base. Finish off by wrapping ribbon around
basket and tying off with a fun bow. hope you enjoyed this tutorial.

Price breakdown:
1 package each of pink, yellow & purple peeps Walmart: $3.24
basket (clearance area) Hobby Lobby: $2.99
Plastic Eggs Dollar Tree:  $1.06
Wooden Skewers & Ribbon (already had): $0.00
Total:  $7.29

Happy Easter!!

Easter Garland

I had an exciting, fun filled night with some terrific gals last night.
I recently joined a local craft group that gets together once a month.
This month we made these fantastic Easter garland.
Thanks so much Emily for putting this project together.

Each garland came with 1 shamrock, 1 bunny head, 1 carrot, 1 flower and 2 eggs.
We started off with chipboard cutouts of these shapes.
Then we choose which scrapbook paper(s) we wanted to use.

So you take the chipboard cutout, turn it upside down onto the back of your scrapbook paper and trace.
cut out the paper flip it over and glue the paper to the chipboard. easy peasy.
Then you can add embellishments to the tops of the cutouts or leave them.
To make into a garland, we punched 2 holes into each cutout. one on each side.
then took wire and looped through holes and twisted off (you can curl the ends if you like.)
Last but not least add strips of colorful fabric and tie onto the wire using knots.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Happy Easter Everyone!!!
