5th Wedding Anniversary

 just celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary this past week.

We both wanted to get out of the city & traffic and enjoy so quiet time enjoying nature. Johnson Mill was fantastic. We stayed in the Waterfall Terrace room.  Let me tell you room does not measure up to what this room was really like. It was a suite made from heaven. It had its own sitting area, bed area, eating area, private balcony, sink area and master bathroom, including a corner jetted tub and walk in shower with dual shower heads. Of and the lotion, shampoo, condition and soaps were divine. I have a hard time finding lotions that won't break my delicate skin out. But the lotion they had did the trick and felt wonderful.

 

 

 

 

 

We explored the town area of midway and heber. these are nice quiet small towns with a fun downtown. we also took a couple of walks around the b&b's land, enjoying the 40 foot waterfall, deer in the grass areas, a sweet pond and danced in the gazebo that is extended over the pond.

 

Our room was on the very top. you can see the bedroom window at the top and to the right of the building is where our private balcony was. We actually left the double doors open most of the time because we couldn't get enough of the sound of the waterfall beneath us.

 

We we're lucky to have great people to enjoy breakfast with. One of the other couple's we're celebrating there 25th Anniversary.

 

Oh I can't express how lovely it all was.

Spooky Blogger's Night Out - Nightmare on 13th

A Night of Fear and Fun

Fall is my favorite time of the year, and one thing I always look forward to is Halloween and all the events leading up to it, including a visit to the local haunted houses. Who doesn’t love a good scare! I got the opportunity to attend a great night at Nightmare on 13^th St. and I was not disappointed. I of course brought a date along, just in case it was too scary and then I’d have something to bury my face into J

               We walked into get our tickets and before we even got to the ticket booth there were fun things to see like a spooked out dragster and various creatures and spooks. The spooks and creatures, if you were brave enough, were even willing to stop and take a picture or two. The lines were all packed with guests wanting to be put into a fear coma, but the lines did move quickly.

                Once inside we were lead into a room where we got to take some fun photos with a monster and given ticket stubs to look them up later online. Then we walked down the hall and into the theatre which was where you’d go to enter the haunted house.  While in the theatre we got to take in some fun movie projects of crazy creepys and ghouls, and some talking pumpkins gave you some laughs. The theatre really set the mood and was put together well. Once through the line of the theatre the fun really began.

                I can’t give you every detail of the haunted house but I can sum it all up. The haunted house was amazing. You walked through various paths that would lead you into  different themed rooms. While my face wasn’t buried in my dates arm or back I tried to really take in the amazing details all around me. The art and décor of each section was eye candy to tickle the eyes. Different animatronic things would move or pop out and then you had a few real people to give you the random scare. It wasn’t just a flat walk through the house either, you got to go through different motion rooms, squish things under your feet, or walking through various curtains or barriers. Many of your senses will be engaged, whether it is sight, sound, hearing, and smelling.  Needless to say these mazes of wonder  had something to touch on anyone’s fears.

                Nightmare on 13^th St. has something for everyone. It  is mild enough for the young and not so brave yet various enough for the not afraid of anything type to enjoy. For a fun filled night of haunting fun, head on down to Nightmare on 13^th St.

Lego's are finally here in Utah

Me and my hubby are huge Lego fans. Each year since we we're married we buy the new building that Lego put's out every year. It's in there city collection. This year's building was the cinema. we bought it Saturday afternoon and it was complete Sunday afternoon. We hope to have our city build and put together someday.

Salsa Leedo's Resturant Review - Riverton, UT

My Hubby and I have lived here in Riverton, UT for over 1 1/2 years now and have been searching high and low for some decent mexican food. When we lived in Plano, TX we had to leave not only the state but our favorite mexican resturant called Cafe Milagro. They had THE best mexican food I have ever had in the USA. So back to UT. When we came back to UT it has been terribly hard to find a decent replacement. Tonight we decided to try out a local Riverton location called "Salsa Leedos". Now it's not Cafe Milagro but it is the best mexican resturant we have been to in this state so far.

A bonus for families with children: on Monday evening's kids eat free.

They start you out with not only salsa and chips but also a side of refried beans & cheese.

We ordered a carna asada burrito and a chile verda burrito. both can piping hot, smothered with cheese and sauce with a side of rice, beans, sour cream and guacamole.

Both of our dishes were excellent, the staff was friendly and very helpful. We will be going back to try some of there other great dishes in the future.

Couple's Sign

Today I decided to make a "Couple's Sign". I have been wanting to do this for a while and with valentines coming up very soon, I thought this would be the perfect time to finally make it.  So what you do is you print out the state that your born in, the state your spouse was born in and the state you were married in. (now if these aren't 3 separate states no worries, you will just add the info and heart in 2 or possible 3 places on the state.) To find great state outlines to print. I went to google.com and then in the search area typed in state outline and then checked out the images it popped up with. I printed mine onto a brown card stock.

Once they are printed and the size you want them, cut them out, I left a little bit of an edge around the black outline.

 I then applied glue all over the back of each state and then turned it over and applied it to some black chipboard. I placed a heavy book on top for a minute so that they stayed flat and secure.

 Once it is dry. Cut around the state again.

To attach each state to my top sign I punched holes in each state and the sign and attached each one with wire.

 Here is how it looks finished.

 I know you can't read what I put on each of the states. So here is a breakdown. On each of the states that me and my husband were born I placed a heart over the place the city is located. Next to the heart I wrote..
 Line 1. my name
 Line 2. the word born
 Line 3. City and States name
 Line 4. Birthday 00/00/00

Now the state we were married in i have attached to our 2 birth states and again placed the heart where the city is located. On this one I wrote.

Line 1. his name & my name
Line 2. the word Married
Line 3. City and States name
Line 4. Date Married 00/00/00

This was so much fun to make.
